Pre-Construction
Our goal is to help you create a beautiful and functional space within your budget. Ostrander Construction will work with you to develop the most effective building plans in order to achieve your construction project objectives and provide your business with significant value.
Going into a building addition project, the costs will be determined by three main factors:
- Project Size: Do you want to build one side addition or a second story for your building?
- Building Materials: This is affected by your choice of features like framing, flooring, lighting, and paint selections.
- Functionality: Technological capabilities and industry specific equipment can modify your costs.
We can provide you with a preliminary construction estimate from pricing plans, or a hard bid from construction drawings. In addition to bidding, we also provide design/build packages with several architectural firms and design/build mechanical, electrical, and plumbing packages.
If you already have a design plan, we can work directly with your architect to bring you everything you want in an investment that makes sense. If you need a design-build contractor, we can help there, too.
Construction
Our construction management team focuses on customer communications and their extensive experience will ensure your project runs smoothly. We do everything from the design to physically constructing the commercial building addition. We have long-standing relationships with local inspector, we’re familiar with local codes, guidelines, and restrictions, and we’re affiliated with Chicago’s top vendors and suppliers. With these advantages, your building addition is sure to be built on-time and within budget.
Expanding upward or outward, Ostrander Construction will deliver the space you desire.
- Upward Additions: If you don’t have much land to expand on but need more space for your business, this addition style will add a new story to your existing building.
- Outward Additions: Create new rooms in any direction your property allows with additions on the front, back or side of your existing building.
Post-Construction
Ostrander Construction doesn’t just complete your building project and walk away. First, we clean up properly—we treat your interior space like it is our own. Afterwards, we ensure building systems perform interactively according to design intent and to your operational needs.
This is referred to as the commissioning process, and it encompasses system documentation, equipment startup, control system calibration, testing and balancing, performance testing, and training of your building support personnel.
And we don’t stop there. Ostrander Construction offers a number of ongoing services to keep your new addition looking and working toward your success. These services include general maintenance, emergency service, and light construction work.
